Backwater Valve
A customer called to report a possible break in the drain system under the house. A sewer drain pipe camera inspection was performed and we found old cast iron pipes. There were no cracks or holes in the pipes for roaches to enter the house, however; the tenant was constantly complaining about roaches entering the house and they ultimately left the house because of it.
The septic tank was checked and a roach nest was found. We suggested to install a Backwater Valve before the sewer pipe enters the house so everything can be drained and no roaches can craw back into the house.
A Backwater Valve can also prevent rising storm water and city back ups from entering into your house or building.
